Project:
Keeping and Creating American Communities(KCAC)
Kennesaw State University

Content Coordinator & Educational Website development

Lead Writer/Programmer:
Marty Lamers

Tools Used:
Word 98/2000, HomeSite, Javascript, Excel, Winzip, Dreamweaver 3/4, PowerPoint, Acrobat, Photoshop, Image Ready, Nero, and Outlook
The Client's Needs:
To coordinate all incoming and pre-existing web materials for adherence to an original style sheet and accompanying style guide, written by Articulayers and KCAC Project Leaders. Once the content was fully developed and coordinated, Articulayers was responsible to technically bring together all user expectations and client's wishes on every page, solely maintaining all site updates and changes.

Using primarily Dreamweaver4, Photoshop, and HomeSite, Articulayers took existing KCAC information and web design, improving design consistency, html stability, and all associated technical editing issues. Articulayers obtained legal permissions for copyrighted materials, and worked with Project Leaders to format each section to attain better overall thematic consistency and flow. Articulayers mounted and tested the site in its various stages, conducting independent and controlled surveys to determine areas requiring further refinement. Articulayers redeveloped the entire internal structure of this site, fixing all navigational and image-related issues, as well as editing text, adding complete or partial sections, and meeting often with Project Leaders to clearly define and execute the parameters of the finished web project.

This four-year project was successfully completed in September 2002, and the site has since entered the NEH list of 100 recommended Educational websites.
